Ok, so I finished work today and then proceeded to Dunnes supermarket for the usual snacks [a few multipack bags of crisps and a case of coke]. Yes I have become an even bigger addict of sugary treats.
However while I was entering I decided not to buy the usual crap but instead I had a change of heart and instead I had a sudden urge to buy Anime.
So I start walking to the other side of town in order to get to HMV which coincidently is the only DVD selling outlet in Newry City, what is up with that? Anyway, I have my I-pod in and the Ghost in the Shell opening 'Inner Universe' is set on repeat.
This is when I start to see just how insignificant the rest of the world is to me. Everywhere you go there is someone in a rush to get somewhere, what could possibly be so important that makes people rush when there is no real need?
So I arrive at the first set of traffic lights which are green so I press the button and wait to cross. Then a few people arrive at the same set of lights and begin to get impatient, then of course as soon as they see a gap they run across. Of course I don't bother moving because the light is still green and I am never in a rush to go anywhere. So finally the green man appears and I cross.
I continue up the road until I get to the next set of lights which of course are green again. So once again I hit the button and then begin to laugh to myself knowing that even though there isn't a car in sight I won't cross. So many people passed me just immediately crossing the road without giving it a second thought and there is me standing looking like a right mug with a big smile on my face.
What the hell is wrong with people, why are they always in such a rush to go nowhere. People need to learn some patience in my view. The world isn't going anywhere, everything will still be there in 20-30 seconds time.
So I finally arrive at HMV and proceed to the anime section and see that a few new anime sets have arrived. [In Newry anime is like gold-dust.] So I end up buying the following:
Samurai 7 box set [£50]
Buso Renkin box set [£40]
Appleseed [£07]
Appleseed Ex Machina [£20]
Black Blood Brothers [£20]
---------------------------
Total [£137]
In addition to that over the weekend I bought the new Naruto season and pre-ordered the next season of Bleach along with purchasing a new Xbox360 so overall it was an expensive week but figured I'd treat myself. Heck I never even heard of these anime before but it didn't really matter to me.
So I finally get home and slap on the xbox ready to play one of the anime and my friend instantly invites me to play some Cod WaW. So I stick it on and get pissed off within about 30 minutes so we head on to Gears. Nothing beats Gears when it really comes down to it, that is except those bastards with fibre optic connections vs my 1 Meg [Yay, go B.T. - makers of truly turd internet and service] regardless to say we had a few more than laggy games, who would have thought Japanese hosts would make laggy games, nice region filter Cliffy B...............I'm lying aren't I haha, but seriously last time I checked there are plenty of regions between Ireland and Japan. The only good news was I finally got to level 50 in the shitty rank system which meant free cheevos.
So I finally decide to stick on one of the DVD's so I start with Black Blood Brothers and it was pretty decent, well so far anyway. Nothing special just an average anime but the thing that got me was the ending theme. As soon as I heard it I said to myself, yes I am downloading that right now, so I slapped it onto my I-pod and end up listening to it for over an hour straight.
It's not the lyrics of the song but mainly the tone and the voice of the singer. It is the first song in a long long time that has really stood out and I felt really amazing just while listening to it. I never realised that listening to a song could make you feel so good, especially when is absolutely cheesy.
I felt so good that it actually warranted an update on my LJ, and that rarely happens.
So yeah that's the buzz.
Definetly a song worth checking out, please ignore the cheese factor that rates a whopping 9/10

I got a job at Poundstretcher.. I worked two nights and the manager shafted me into another contract...now I am working two peoples shifts, grr.. well it isn't actually that bad, more monies for random stuffs when I gets to Liverpool.
There is some talk about Livejournal being gay and not letting people make new basic accounts...to be honest I am really not fussed about this as my friends are already here..so I am not losing out on anything. :)
The F1 season has got off to an explosive start with the new rules...and this makes me happy as cars are crashing out all over the place, hehehe only seven cars managed to finish the first race. Hurrah for random accidents. The best of it is that Alsono is a freak and is now in a losing car.
And finally in case I forget happy birthday to Kush, I know it isn't till next week but who knows when I will next update this...and also I don't wanna forget about it.

I can't believe that 10 years have past since the "King of the Sheep" competition.
Not much really to update about, I bought a slim jim psp and slapped custom firmware on it so that I can play old Ps1 games on it like Command and Conquer and Tony Hawks 2.
I am a bit pissed off at XBox live still as I am still unable to connect to many games on the net, especially on Call of Duty 4. I am so pissed off at missing blatant head shots due to lag time johnny. Is it so much to ask to let me into a few team death match's that doesn't have serious lag or n00bs that run around with LMG's slapped on, I friggin hate that. Especially when you watch the kill cam to see that they clearly just dirt themselves and let rip with the trigger shooting everywhere, even through the blasted walls.
Also sniping is not camping, I don't care what anyone says, camping are the freaks that hide behind boxes doing the odd bit off pop up pirate to get kills cause they are unable to get them any other way..... those backstards.
In other news I suck so bad at Guitar Hero 3 it's unbelievable, I can't even get past 1% on Dragonforce on expert, I know the song is meant to be hard but geez barely 1% is shocking. Plus the band "Queen's of the Stoneage" should be taken out and hung for making such awful music. I can't stand it!
Other than that I bought a webcam just before Christmas, amongst other things and have got around £600 in the bank to do for a visit to Liverpool quite soon plus the fact that housing arrangements for next year need to get sorted. So I guess I needs to find more work so I has lots of monies to spend when I get there.
Also Alien vs Predator 2 sucks apparently which is kind of a bummer as I was quite looking forward to watching it. :( |

The Good:
Kimi Raikkonen beat Hamilton and Alonso in the Formula 1. I am so happy with this result as I hate Alonso sooooo much.
The Bad:
Trying to find a version of Mame++ is a nightmare. Also trying to get sfiii working is also ket, especially when files are missing like some CHD crap... then when you find the link....it's broken.

Halo 3 is the biggest ball of shit that I have ever played in my life. I swear to god, I've played some bad games in my time but this one is THE absolute worst game I have ever ever come across.

Creating an online game is a nightmare.
Finding an online game takes fucking ages.
It's a fucking shooting game but where are all the fucking guns. I think some dick thought vechicles were guns cause when your playing all you die from is getting run over.
WHAT IS WITH THESE FUCKING GAME DESIGNERS.
They have the audacity to call this piece of trash a game.
The VIP mission would have been good except when you are the VIP all you get is this piece of shit hand gun that does fuck all. I mean why can't they just simply give you a fucking standard issue rifle so you can at least protect yourself.
They give you a radar on screen that detects fuck all. I mean you only appear on the radar when they are right in your face.
When playing team matches there is a red team and a blue team, this isn't bad you think as you can distinguish between the enemies easy enough as there is friendly fire and you don't wanna kill your own team.....however they put the names on the screen as goodies blue and baddies red, so if you are the red team you are looking for blue guys with red names and it gets so fucking confusing it's annoying.
Where are the guns also? In a long level where a sniper rifle would be best suited you get this pink hair-dryer thing that does shit all. And in a level where a sniper rifle is pointless...you get a sniper rifle.
Friendly fire pisses me off the most..not because of getting shot by accident but because so many fucking tits crash their planes into you on a suicide manner, so your getting plastered by your own squad and then to top it all off a fucking plane or car in your face.
I swear to god, I was playing Gears of War and really there is no contest, Gears does everything right where as the almighty Halo just sucks so much balls.
Also the small font that they use in both games is really starting to piss me off.
To sum it all up, DON'T GO NEAR HALO 3 FOR FEAR OF CONTAMINATION.....IT'S THAT BAD!!

Right I think it is time to let it all out. Who keeps throwing these cards at me, it's not funny you know. Stop it.
But seriously, a few things need addressed:
1: Liverpool Direct are a bunch of dicks. I hate them so much right now. Still not a sniff from them about the job.
2: Who is the bandit behind the Resident Evil Wii edition, I'm gonna kill them. What have they done with the sniper rifles? I'll tell you what they done, they raped them to bits that's what. I can't even enjoy shooting a dog in the face, never mind the wee boy near the end.
3: Pressing Green, Red and Blue together on guitar hero is impossible. I swear to god, who is the smart ass that put this song together? (Strutter - Expert) It wouldn't be so bad except you have to move from holding Red, Blue and Orange together, so simply sliding your fingers isn't enough. Gah.
4: I don't know how but somehow, the yu-gi-oh abridged forum ate my account. I can only log in for 3 seconds and thus end up making posts as user 0 and not my actual login name. It doesn't make any goddamn sense.
5: What is it with fighting games making moves that require you you press up. It really annoys me that a good game (street fighter) can be ruined by this.
There is probably more stuff that is annoying me right now but, this will do....no wait fucking tv-links, how can you have all the episodes that i have watched so far yet not have the 4 episodes that I really wanted to watch. It is not fair. All I wanna see is that bandit Freiza get capped but no, they conveniently don't have those episodes.
Gah, I still can't get over that sniper rifle though, that has really ruined my day.

With the way things have turned out this year I have got fed up with University. I am sick of companies being twats. First there was Tubedale, and now Liverpool Direct. I mean Liverpool Direct said that they would get in touch with me 2 or 3 weeks back and they never did until...this week when my internets was down. So my internets was down and apparently they wanted me to send them another email confirming my availability, like 1 wasn't enough. But I only read this today (Friday Night) and apparently the interviews were to be done and dusted by Thursday which would mean that I have missed the deadline. I sent one anyways saying that I was still interested and that my internet was down. It annoys me so much the way people mess you about, and thus I have decided that if I don't get this job then I am more than likely gonna stay in Ireland for a bit. Especially since I am fed up with the course that I am doing.
Also there are much better things for me to be worrying about right now so I just don't have anytime to arse about with this crap.
IN SHORT THIS EXPERIENCE IS JUST GHOST DOG AND I WANT OUT!!!!!!!
On the more positive side though the Japanese is slowly moving forward and Mum made me a blackboard so I can practice my writing without constantly wasting paper, [I HATE USING PAPER] so in a way I am helping the environment even though I don't actually give a toss. ^_^ |
